Treasure
The Compostela Treasure had special importance since the origins of the cult of Saint James, especially for the monarchy’s support and the quick development of pilgrimages. Despite several vicissitudes that caused the loss of important pieces, the Treasure preserves its nature. It is an essential proof of the sumptuary arts from the Middle Ages to contemporary times and the memory of many characters who showed their devotion to Saint James going on pilgrimage to his TombChalice of Gondar the Precentor
